Note: According to a copy of FW post below, you can transfer 50,000 Points to 90,000 Miles if you sign-up for stackable 30% promo and 50% promo. You can exchange 90,000 bonus miles for $900 in Delta Airfare (see more info here ).

Alternatively, you can exchange 50000 points for a $500 gift card. See examples of gift cards from Dell, Home Depot, GAP, etc here (You may have to use Firefox or Netscape, not Internet Explorer to see AmEx Rewards website). The card has annual fee of $450. So your net bonus will be $550 and $50, for the first and second scenario, respectively.
