Note: According to a copy of FW post below, you can transfer 10,000 Points to 18,000 Miles if you sign-up for stackable 30% promo and 50% promo. The original post was about AmEx Platinum card, but it should work for any AmEx card with membership points. You can exchange 18,000 bonus miles for $180 in Delta Airfare (see more info here ).

Alternatively, you can exchange 10000 points for a $100 gift card. See examples of gift cards from Dell, Home Depot, GAP, etc here (You may have to use Firefox or Netscape, not Internet Explorer to see AmEx Rewards website). The card has minimal annual fee of $25. So your net bonus will be $155 and $75, for the first and second scenario, respectively.
