I have 2 Citi Dividend cards (1 MC and 1 AMEX) and have been with them since 2004. I purchased just under $5000 in new kitchen appliances when we moved into our new home in May 2011. I purchased the appliances online via the GE store and Citi refused to give me the extra 4% cashback on the purchases because the way the transaction was sent to them from the GE site; in a way that it did not fall under any of the home improvement categories. I called and emailed several times, even explaining that I would submit my receipts. Even though they ‘escalated’ the request, they did nothing stating they “are limited in our ability to assist with your request.” I bought appliances and that is clearly in the home improvement categories description of the promotional incentive for Q2 2011. What a joke. I am not using my Citi cards ever again… for

Are you referring to the 12 Debit/Check Card Point-of-Sale Transactions requirement (“transactions must be made without using your Personal Identification Number, or PIN, to count towards the minimum of 12 and must be posted to your account on or before the last day of the calendar month”)? If so, did you mean “PIN-based transactions” and “non-PIN transactions” by any chance? It is just hard think how one can do credit transactions with a check card since it is not a credit card (= you do not borrow money from a bank/CU, you pay with your own money).

Be careful to note that Consumers Credit Union only counts transactions that are entered as credit. So Debits dont count.

I would like to know exacrly how I can view the points I have accumulated, and also what the items are that are available to me. On all advertisetments it merely orders a customer to, “log in to pnc.cm/points. Nothing else. What does a person do after getting to this stage? How can I find out how many points I have? How do it find out what item/s is available to me? Need clear, concise instructions. Not merely “click onto” or “log in to.” Thank you. PH

This is bunk. Their site doesn’t mention it, no “promo code” is mentioned and even the source link at the bottom there shows dialog between people wondering why it doesn’t seem to exist. If you are setting up an account online and looking for a good promo code, you are in the wrong spot. Keep looking. I transferred my ppoints early to get the Utimate Rewards. I never got the 2,500 points promised. Have made numerous attempts to contact Chase and get no substantive help.

Purchasing Power in Gift cards are not the same. It only took 8,000 equivalent Leisure points to get a $100 Amazon gift card, now it takes 10,000 points. That is a 25% loss in purchasing power.
