With this bonus offer you will receive 50,000 bonus miles. You will qualify and receive your bonus after you make qualifying transactions totaling $250 or more. Qualifying transactions include purchases, balance transfers, and any checks that are used to access your account, and exclude cash advances. After qualifying, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for bonus miles to post to your account. To be eligible for this bonus offer, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. The offer isnt available online, you have to call. From the thread,

4. Finally say apply for a United mileage plus card.

And tell the rep that youre calling for the 50,000 mile signup bonus offer.

From what I read, no fee for the first year and $60 there after.
